A special thanks towards all the supporters that joined me for the White Bear Avenue Parade.

Dear Neighbors,

Being a lifelong East Sider, I have witnessed the downward spiral of community affairs for the better part of a decade. Crime is on the rise, our police department is underfunded and we need more officers on the beat. Our fire department has twenty-eight year old ladder trucks with transmission problems, and too few ambulances. We’ve all felt the social impact of this decline- it’s time for a change.

Under the current house leadership, we’ve seen increases in our property taxes, gas taxes, sales taxes and income taxes; not a welcoming policy for East Side families living on a budget. Instead of the additional revenue from the tax increases going towards our police, fire and other vital services, much of this funding has found its way into light rail and other pork-barrel projects.

Having served our country in the United States Marine Corps infantry, I have the inner pride of our community and nation. It’s time to bring back the pride of the East Side. Through development in new leadership and good legislation, we can climb out of the stagnant economic state we currently find ourselves in. My opponent has had eight years to fix the East Side, and he has failed. Now is the time for action and new beginnings! I hope this November I have your support and your vote!
